PEL are a research and development company focusing on process development for functional material printing. We push the boundaries of inkjet, screen, and other printing techniques. We can print conductors, dielectrics (insulators), batteries, electroactive materials etc. We can then build these into functional structures like circuits, RF antennas, sensors, micro actuators, etc.
INKJET AND DIGITAL PRINTING:
PEL are global leaders in inkjet and digital printing of functional materials. This includes the expert use of nanoparticle and advanced inks such as graphene. We understand the entire process, from formulation to prototyping to volume production. We have our own rheology facilities in Cambridge UK for ink development. We have strong relationships with major ink manufacturers as well as the capability to develop bespoke inks for you.
SCREEN AND NOZZLE DISPENSE:
PEL have established capability for printing very fine features with screen printing – down to 30 micron dimension. We also can screen print large format with functional materials.
When digitally printed circuits are required, but the ink is unsuited to inkjet we use our bespoke nozzle dispenser to build up complete devices.
FUNCTIONAL PRINT AND DESIGN:
We can use our expertise in all areas of Printed Electronics to design and create your Printed Electronics project or product.
PRINTED BATTERIES:
PEL are an established licencee of the Enfucell technology for printed primary battery technology. We push the boundaries of this technology to create bespoke printed batteries for your low volume applications. We are also developing rechargeable printed batteries and can print our batteries onto a variety of flexible materials.
